Brandon Marcello

Brandon Marcello is a national college football insider for CBS Sports, where he breaks breaking news and delivers in-depth investigative reporting on the sport’s most significant stories—from conference realignment to the shifting forces shaping its future. An award-winning journalist and broadcaster, he has covered college football at the national and SEC levels since 2010.

Marcello joined 247Sports as a national reporter in 2020 before transitioning to CBS Sports in 2024. A leading authority on personnel trends, he created the 247Sports Coaching Carousel, the industry-standard resource tracking coaching changes nationwide. In addition to his writing, Marcello co-hosts The College Football Insiders on CBS Sports Network, serves as a sideline reporter, and is a regular analyst on CBS Sports HQ, the CBS Sports YouTube channel, and national programs including The Paul Finebaum Show.

A finalist for APSE National Beat Writer of the Year and a former Alabama Sportswriter of the Year, Marcello previously reported on SEC programs for The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, The Clarion-Ledger, and The Birmingham News. A native of Farmington, Arkansas, he resides in the Northwest Arkansas region with his family.
